Instructions:
1. The chordal tooth thickness caliper measures the thickness of the gear tooth with the top circle as the measurement reference.
2. The chordal tooth thickness caliper has two movable vernier scales that are perpendicular to each other. There are two measuring jaws that measure the thickness of the string; the other is the predetermined string height.
3. Calculate the chord height and the chord tooth thickness based on the gear parameters. The caliper with the chord height is fixed in size and locked, and the fixed end of the chord height is placed against the top of the tooth, and then the two claws of the chord tooth thickness are contacted to the two different side profiles, and the chord is measured. The teeth are thick.
